BMI Calculator – Body Mass Index in kg and cm
Body Mass Index is the quick screening number that compares your weight to your height. It is not a diagnosis — athletes can misread it — but it is the standard first check doctors use worldwide for underweight, overweight and obesity risk.

FAQ
What BMI range is healthy?
By WHO standards: under 18.5 is underweight, 18.5–24.9 normal, 25–29.9 overweight, 30+ obese.
Is BMI accurate for muscular people?
Not perfectly — muscle weighs more than fat, so athletes can show "overweight" BMIs with low body fat. Waist circumference is a useful cross-check.
Does BMI differ for Indians?
Indian health guidelines often use lower action thresholds (23 for overweight) because South Asians carry more visceral fat at the same BMI.
